Natural healing body care made from cedar

Margaret Simpson is the proud founder and owner of White Cedar Remedies, which offers all-natural, handcrafted body care products for pain relief and skin care.

Margaret Simpson, also known as Cedar Medicine Woman, is passionate about helping individuals with their health and wellness needs. She has extensively studied various complementary and alternative medicine modalities, from aromatherapy to reflexology, and is a firm believer in the healing abilities of naturopathy.

Simpson is the proud founder and owner of White Cedar Remedies, which offers all-natural, handcrafted body care products for pain relief and skin care.

The first product created by Simpson was a local pain reliever, which has been successfully marketed in a number of markets for 12 years.

Now, given the success of the topical pain reliever, Simpson decided to create a second product for skin care. She called it Wha-Bonga-La, a word coined by The Simpsons that means amazing skin care.

Simpson founded White Cedar Remedies and runs an in-home health and wellness studio called Cedar Medicine Woman Wellness Studio in Thunder Bay’s east end. The studio offers reflexology, cupping therapy, ionic foot bath detox sessions, and many other wellness services.

Simpson was born and raised in Toronto. She moved to Thunder Bay in 2006 and attended Confederation College where she studied Aboriginal Law and Advocacy. She immersed herself in the Aboriginal culture and lifestyle during her free time. After graduating, Simpson continued her exploration of traditional remedies.

The origins of White Cedar Remedies began in the mid-2000s when Simpson visited a healing center in Pic River Heron Bay. There, a charming local elder gave her the spirit name ‘Cedar Medicine Woman’.

After attending several sweat lodges, a healer guided her to create something with cedar trees that could help people in pain.

“The cedar is called the tree of life,” Simpson said. “It has many health benefits.”

As soon as Simpson began working with cedar trees, she developed the ‘White Cedar Remedy’, which has been very successful today.

At first, Simpson’s primary goal was to help people experiencing pain from substance abuse. The positive feedback she received made it go viral.

Her family and friends began using the cream for various painful conditions and found it helped relieve their pain, and she continued to refine the formula.

While developing white cedar remedies, she settled in Coburg, where she helped her aging parents. Both her parents experienced positive results from the White Cedar medicine. Her father had post-polio syndrome, and her mother suffered from full-body shrinkage due to Alzheimer’s disease.

The business of ‘White Cedar Remedies’ began in 2012, when Simpson took a business start-up course through the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation.

After completing the course, the business plan of White Cedar Remedies was successfully implemented and has been successful ever since.

Simpson has always wanted to help people seeking natural healing. She enjoys knowing that her products have contributed to helping people live healthier lives with less pain.

She enjoys organizing pop-up shows at stores that sell her products because it allows her to connect with the community and meet different people.

“We live in a fast-paced society,” Simpson said. “It’s time to slow down and enjoy what Mother Earth has to offer. Peace and tranquility. “

It gives her great joy to hear positive feedback from people from all walks of life who benefit from the amazing products she has worked so hard to create.

Although initially skeptical, the overall response has been overwhelmingly positive. Once people started using the product, their perspective changed. Consumers report that the products effectively help relieve and manage pain.

New skin care creams create a sensation in the market and sales soar.

As White Cedar Remedies continues to achieve success, Simpson hopes people will recognize the product as 100% natural, proudly handcrafted in Canada and affordable, with the added benefit of enriching lives through its health benefits.

“I want to express my gratitude to all my customers for their support and positive feedback,” said Simpson. “A big thank you to all the local businesses that carry White Cedar Remedies.”

White Cedar Remedies plans to expand nationally, selling its products across Canada. Additionally, the company hosts pop-up demos and markets throughout the Thunder Bay region.

As White Cedar Remedies continues to expand, Simpson is excited about the future and what it holds in the coming years.

“Live life to the fullest every day,” Simpson said.
